ABOUT
Powerhouse of electrochemical process development
HYDROHM is an electrochemical process development company with its feet solidly ground in water, bringing years of experience together to provide innovative and sustainable solutions for anyone working with water. Our starting point is that we want to improve the user experience for anyone coming in contact with our technology.
Our history
HYDROHM was established in 2020, as a spin-off company of Ghent University and the MELiSSA program of the European Space Agency (ESA).
HYDROHM started with space technology, developing the URIDIS technology for both spatial and terrestrial applications. Along the way, we gradually expanded our expertise, allowing us to service a range of applications.
We develop innovative concepts both for our own technology development and in commercial projects for clients. Our links with both industry and academia ensure we are at the forefront of innovation, always with a strong focus on applicability.
Our operating principles
Look at the solution,
not the problem
The development of new technologies is full of challenges, but as engineers, we like a challenge. Solving challenges is how we grow. Whenever we state a problem, we offer a solution.
Give respect,
earn respect
People do their best work when they can be their genuine selves. We respect the wellbeing of every individual and earn respect by our actions.
Do
meaningful work
We are driven by and take pride in the greater vision to which we contribute. This means taking meaningful actions to get there by moving fast and by focusing on what matters.
Clear communication
gives the best results
The best results come when people can voice their ideas, seek to understand the ideas of others and make objectively weighted decisions. We 1) set clear and manageable expectations, 2) explain technical concepts in human language and 3) give a correct and critical interpretation of data and benchmark it to relevant state of the art.
Own
the outcome
We are committed to our responsibilities, we work with the end in mind and do not stop before the job is done. The success of the team is the success of its members. Ultimately, accountability requires a commitment to continuous improvement and a willingness to learn from mistakes, so that every day we grow and evolve into a better version.
Make work
worthwhile
We create a stimulating and satisfying work environment – not only by the kind of work we do, but also by how we do it. We believe the key ingredients are 1) to seek and to be passionate people that are genuinely nice to be around, 2) to foster personal development, and 3) to value and encourage the celebration of successes.
