OUR SERVICES
HYDROHM is your partner from ideation to demonstration
Discover how electrochemistry can make your process or product more sustainable, safer and more profitable with our expert services. We build on 25 years of experience in academic research and development, and bring together the latest innovations in electrochemical engineering.
Scoping studies
We make a study tailored to your needs, including:
- Introduction in electrochemical processes in human language
- Detailed process analysis and understanding
- State of the art overview (literature and IP)
- Ideation and concept design
- Preliminary performance, size and cost calculations
- Technology comparison
Feasibility studies
We make a technology assessment, including:
- Design and construction of laboratory proof-of-concept
- Test runs with synthetic and real streams
- Quantification of critical process parameters
- Identification of challenges and mitigation plan
- Cost estimation and sizing are refined based on the results of the lab experiments
Demonstration studies
We make a thorough study on pilot scale, including:
- Design and construction of an automated skid for long-term validation
- When possible, the skid can be integrated in the process or product
- Validation, screening of operational conditions and reliability testing
- Assist turning the novel concept to a full-scale plant or turnkey product, in part by liaising with specialty partners for different aspects where we can act as coordinating entity
This is how we make the difference
- We cover the whole trajectory from technology mapping and benchmarking, ideation and low TRL development through to demo scale validation
- We produce tailor-made systems for testing, including sensor and control systems, and have a network of partners for follow-up engineering and production
- We focus on integration of the electrochemical technology in the process
- New to electrochemistry? No worries, we’ll explain it to you in human language
- Our capability for fast and effective development projects, including:
- a laboratory and pilot hall for in-house testing, with in-house equipment for standard analysis and partnerships for specific analysis
- a maker space with capability for rapid prototyping
- experience with design, commissioning and operation of pilot systems
- partner network for design and construction of specific equipment
