In December 2025, the LUCRA project partners gathered in Ghent for the 6thconsortium meeting, hosted by the University of Ghent, HYDROHM, and Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant (BBEPP). Site visits were organised to CAPTURE and BBEPP, where HYDROHM’s lab-scale electrochemical extraction unit is installed.

The LUCRA consortium got together in Chania on the wonderful island of Crete for their 5th project meeting. In the middle of January, the EU Project LUCRA partners gathered in Birmingham for the 4th consortium meeting, hosted by project partner iNeuvo Ltd. The meeting served as a platform to update partners on the progress of the different work packages and to discuss the next steps.

We commissioned a mobile URIDIS unit in a demonstration container that includes a toilet, urinal and shower. Next to our system that will process the collected urine, a greywater recycling technology will provide treated water as flush water for the toilets. The demonstration system will be showcased on regattas across Italy and France. 

HYDROHM is proud to join the CAPTURE initiative, a multidisciplinary platform that wants to deliver a disruptive contribution to the circular economy by bridging academia and industry. Within CAPTURE we find likeminded partners to accelerate technology development and be at the forefront of innovation.

We received the award for best flash presentation on the 11th conference of the UK wastewater network, organised by Cranfield university on the 22nd of November 2023 and sponsored by the IWA UK Committee.
